People can only survive when they rely on their own experiences and instincts but the Gazette has allowed United We March Forward to THRIVE. Whether it’s the immigrant and refugee community or addressing food insecurity, our Cedar Rapids community is stronger through the shared experiences that The Gazette provides us each day. I am grateful for the Gazette and the whole team there. Free and local press is great for our community. You guys have helped our organization reach different audiences that have reached out to us because of the stories covered. I have had people say that they saw our story on the paper and that they are framing it. I walk into St. Paul’s and Hames Home and I see The Gazette story on their walls. A friend said that she was at the Kirkwood’s lunch room and on their fridge was a story about UWMF thriving in the community. What you guys do at The Gazette is incredible. I’m 100% that UWMF community recognition is also contributed by what you guys do. I am forever grateful.
